"English language...this bridges to a lot of opportunities!" firmly said by Dr. Ali Al Ghadib, Academic Consultant, as he encourages the students to study and appreciate the English language during his inspirational message for the English Festival 2014 held last December 17, 2014.                    

         The event has been a student-centered activity where the students themselves participated and pro-actively contributed in running the said festival.  Mr. Mohammed Mahdi al Homadah – Level 3 Civil Engineering Technology student hosted the program. Mr. Jamshed Khan, head of the Preparatory Department gave his welcome message as this is the flagship event for the English Department. Mr. Ayman Daboul – Institute Registrar, Dr. Firas Kassem – Institute Manager and Dr. Ali  Al Ghadib – Academic Consultant highlighted their speeches in the importance of English Language and focused on the opportunity it creates paving way for the future success of the students. Part also of the program was the Oratorical speech originally composed and delivered by Mr. Ali Ibrahim Al Ramadhan –Level 3 Civil Engineering Technology student that gave focal points on ways he learned the English language and the benefits one could get in learning it.  Another was a Poem Recital done by Mr. Ali Abbas al Ajmi entitled My Story. This poem was originally composed by him which is centered on how he appreciated and learned the language.

                      Second part of the program was the Spelling and Grammar Quiz Bee. Mr. Alvin Kabigting served as the Quizmaster, Engr. Fredel de Vera and Engr. Arriane as the judge and tabulator respectively and Engr. Art as the official photographer. Mr. Kabigting had reminded the groups which wass composed of 3 students about the contest rules. There were 3 categories that participants should answer namely Easy, Average and Difficult which all contained 6 questions. The winners of the said competition were:
